Almost 11.5 million people signed up for healthcare insurance on HealthCare.gov from November 1–December 15, 2022, President Joe Biden announced in December 2022. Enrollment increased 18% over the same period in 2021.

Biden said that the enrollment numbers were an “all-time record” and gains like those helped drive down the uninsured rate to 8% earlier in 2022, its lowest in history.

“I promised to lower costs for families and ensure that all Americans have access to quality affordable health care,” Biden said. “In recent days, we received further proof that our efforts are delivering record results and bringing families the peace of mind that comes with health insurance.”
