Pittsburgh, PA, July 31, 2020 — The Oncology Nursing Society’s (ONS’s) books, journals, and news magazine have a long history of industry recognition, receiving numerous awards for their commitment to excellence in publishing. This month, Association Media and Publishing (AM&P), Association Trends, and Communication Concepts, Inc., added new distinctions to the ONS publishing portfolio.
AM&P’s Excel awards are presented to nonprofit organization publications that exceed industry standards and exhibit excellence, aptitude, and innovation. AM&P bestowed the following honors to ONS:
- ONS Voice: Gold Award, Newsletters, General Excellence (print)
- ONS Voice: Bronze Award, Newsletters, General Excellence (digital)
- Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing: Silver Award, Journals, Cover Design (April 2019)
- Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing: Bronze Award, Journals, Cover Design (February 2019)
- Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing: Silver Award, Journals, General Excellence
- Oncology Nursing Forum: Silver Award, Journals, General Excellence
Additionally, ONS publications received an Association Trends TRENDY Award in the Book/Manual/Catalog category for the book, Cancer Survivorship: Interprofessional, Patient-Centered Approaches to the Seasons of Survival, edited by Pamela J. Haylock and Carol P. Curtiss. ONS books also received APEX Awards from Communications Concepts, Inc., in the Print Media—Books category for Cancer Survivorship as well as Current Trends in Oncology Nursing (second edition), edited by Judith Payne and Kathleen Murphy-Ende.
